Here at Usenet Monster we offer two different ways
you can make money from selling Usenet.
1. You can join our affiliate program and refer people
to us. For every gig purchased by the person you refer
you'll earn $0.10 over the life of their account. There
is no fee to get set up with our affiliate program.
Just fill in the form below and let us know you want
to join our affiliate program. We will set up a url
(i.e. yourname.usenetmonster.com) which you can send
you traffic to. Once someone visits that url and signs
up for a Usenet account you'll get credit. We then cut
you a check on the first of every month for the amount
your owed.
2. You can become your own virtual Usenet provider.
We provide you with your own news reading servers and
sell you spool and bandwidth access. To the end user
it will appear as if you're an independent Usenet service.
This allows you to start your own newsgroup service
MUCH cheaper than normal. There are fees and requirements
associated with this type of account. They are as follows:
(NOTE) We know the info below is very confusing and
most people won't understand the requirements. That's
OK. If you're interested in becoming a virtual Usenet
provider we'll help you and explain things every step
of the way.)
A reseller one year commitment is assumed. At all times
it is acceptable to increase a commitment, but there
may be constraints on lowering a commitment (up to and
including disallowing it). Contract renews yearly.
Reseller must buy a fixed rate data pipe. Utilization
graphs will be available of course.
Everything is prepay. We can NOT float any reseller
a loan to pay for their bandwidth and usage. If a reseller
wishes to up their bandwidth in the middle of a month,
they will need to send another check.
We provide the reader servers as needed, and baseline
support. If a customer needs anything unusual, they
can pay for it at a contracted rate.
When a reseller gets to a certain size, they must move
onto their own server platform. This has some benefits
but a minor additional cost. Redundant servers available
as well.
Bandwidth will be purchased at a price of $95 per mbps
per month. There is a minimum purchase of 4 mbps, sellable
in increments of 2 mbps up to 60, 5 increments mbps
after that.
For a virtual server, there's a monthly base cost of
$100. Virtual servers are available up to 60 megabits.
For a dedicated server, there's a monthly base cost
of $300. Dedicated servers are available beginning at
40 megabits. Redundant dedicated servers have a base
cost of $500, beginning at 60 megabits.
There is a set up fee of $500. The reason for this
is we have to build and install equipment in our co-location
facility for you.
To make all of the above requirements a little easier
to understand here's a quick break down of the costs
to get your own virtual Usenet service. $500 set up
and $480 a month in bandwidth and server fees.
You'll also be responsible for handling your own customer
service, web site and databases.
You will have the ability to charge what ever you wish
and offer any types of account you'd like. If you need
help in figuring out what to charge, we can help.
Although there are more costs involved in running a
virtual Usenet service there is also a lot more profit.
If you are interested in becoming a virtual Usenet
provider please let us know by indicating so on the
form.
